Using AI to Get Recipes into Mealie

I have a bunch of recipes that I've stored for years in OneNote. With some recent explorations into self-hosting, I decided it was time to try something better.

I set up a self-hosted recipe tool called Mealie on my local network using a Raspberry Pi. The issue I'm running into is trying to get the recipes from plain text into Mealie.

Mealie recently introduced OpenAI integration. However, at the time of this writing, the only features are ingredient parsing, recipe URL parsing, or parsing a recipe image.

This sounds like a good opportunity to try my hand at an AI API. Stay tuned.
